History of Slaton EMS

The Slaton EMS was created in 1976 as a volunteer association. It has grown to now include a full-time, professionally-trained staff ready to respond to the community and area's needs. Today the Slaton EMS Service has an approximately 900 mile coverage area, within 4 counties, and annual call volume of over 1200 calls. Slaton EMS owns 1 fully staffed ambulance and 1 backup ambulance which is manned by 4 Paramedics, 3 Intermediates, and 1 Basic along with trained and certified volunteers that are ready to respond in a seconds notice.
